I think the lesson that we can all learn from the book Stargirl is to not care about yourself too muchor care about others too much. If you care about yourself too much, you might make other people mad. If you care about others too much, people might think you are wierd.
One lesson that you could learn from this book is to always be yourself and to never care what othe peaople think unless it is good.An other lesson you could learn is to act more like yourself and not someone your not. by Nathan
I learned a lot of lessons in Stargirl. One lesson was always be yourself because it could change your outlook on life and affect others by setting a good example for them. Another lesson you can learn from Stargirl is to put others first because when you do nice things for others, they might do the same thing for you in a time of need.
To be your self and dont chang if you do not have to. If they want you to chang do not and say if I cant be me to be your frend do not be ther frend. By Tyler H
A lesson students can learn from the book Stargirl is you dont have to act like someone else. You should be yourself in front of others, and who knows maybe you`ll find something you don`t like about yourself that you can change to become more popular. Another lesson you can learn from this book is that if you try to please everyone you please no one .So like when Stargirl pretended to be normal she was trying to please everyone in which case everyone still ignored her. So no matter how hard you try you can never please everyone. Those are the morals we can learn from this book. Lily B.
You may learn to become an individual. When you become yourself, you'll be better off. If your trying to be like everybody else, and things go wrong, others will notice and may tease you. Let people see you for who you really are.
A lesson you can learn from this book is that everyone can be themselves. Stargirl showed the school how being yourself can change how people think of you. All through out our school life we all try to fit in. Everyone wants to be excepted into a group, no one wants to be the outcast. No one really shows individuality. Stargirl showed how to be an individual and just be yourself By Allison
I think the lesson of this story is be yourself and don't care what anyone else thinks of you. Stargirl didn't change her personality when she was a cheer leader she was still herself. Even if she knew people were talking about the clothes that she wore she didn't change them, she didn't care what they thought of her. -Kalli M
I think people could learn a lot from Stargirl. I think one lesson is don't let other people try to change who you really are because if you do you are making others happy but not yourself. just like in the book how she only had two pebbles in her wagon. Don't try to change so you will be popular if people are really your friend they won't ask you to change for them.
The lessons that you can learn from reading Stargirl are being who you really are and not be like everyone else because you think its cool. Another thing you could learn is just because everyone wears a certain type of clothes doesn't mean that you should do it and be like everyone else so that you can be cool its even more cool to be yourself. Those are the lessons that you could learn from reading Stargirl. -Ethan P
I think the lesson that all of us could learn is be yourself dot change for anyone that you like because their smarter and your not as smart as them dont change. If their a geek they look weird dont make them change. Beyourself =) -izzy
I think the lesson that you could learn from this book was be yourself around everybody. We dont have to act like we are somebody else. like when stargirl acted like she was susan. she only did that because leo told her to do that. but that really wasnt who she was it was a pretend stargirl. she wanted to be outrageous.she didnt want to be a boring person. she wasnt bieng satrgirl. so thats the lesson i learned. - Kate.L
I agree with Ethan P, "Because It's true just because you wear a certain style of clothes doesn't mean your cool". Then The lesson I think we can learn from the book Stargirl is not to care of what your classmates think of you or what you wear. If you wear different clothes you will just stand out and then you could become popular for being yourself. Another reason is You should always be your self even when people say you should change who you are. Those are some of the lessons you can learn from reading Stargirl.
I agree with Izzy when she says "That you should be yourself and not change for anyone", but I also think that even when you feel like you don't belong with everyone else stay true to yourself. Also if you don't stay true to yourself you will lose yourself within everyone else.(If that makes any sense.)
I agree with allison when she said "everyone can be themselves."I agree with her because if the whole school had all kinds of personalities people would get along better. Ialso think the lesson to be learned is to apreatiate things while you have them.
I agree with Lily B. The lessons that you can learn from Stargirl is you shouldn't change yourself to be popular. Also you cant please everyone be happy with the friends that you have.
I totally agree with you Lily. You defantly should be yourself. Another lesson that I learned from Stargirl was that you do not need to change just so make someone else happy. Especially if you are not happy. Like in Stargirl she had a happy wagon in which she put stones in it when she was happy. So when she was Stargirl and being herself she had 18 stones in her happy wagon. The most she had ever had in it ,but as soon as she turned to Susan she had lost all of her stones except for two. I think those two stones were from makeing Leo happy and Satisfiying him. So all in all do not change yourself for someone else just to make them happy becasue you may not be hapy.
I agree with Nathan when he said thaat you should always be your self. What i think you can lesson you learn is be your self because when you change it wont always make everything better. Also when stargirl went back to her normal self she got mostly every one to talk to her.
I agree with you Tyler H. life is about standong out and being your self and not changing just so you can be somewons elses friend. I also think that if thay trully want to be you friend they wont want you to chang anything about you.
I agree with you Tyler H. I think that the lesson of the story is that you dont have to change to be someones friend. You can be yourself and dont change your mind about who you are. Always be yourself and dont change yourself.
I agree with Lily B. because if you are trying to please everyone else you are not pleaseing yourself. I think a lesson that you can learn from the book Stargirl is, if you are yourself you are much happier and so are your friends and family around you. The people who care about you should like and care about you for who you are and not what everyone else wants you to be. So be yourself and not the made up person someone else is trying to make you. -Morgan
I grgree with Eathen.Pthe most and all of the outher peoples was allright with all that people wrote in this story about star girl the lesson also is to be what u wanta be and you will have a lot more better friends that are actley ur friend . Also be nice and good things will come to you. this strory will help you be ur self and a better person in all and that is some of what this story is telling you i think :| (TROY...p)
I sgree with Christina when she said that "when you become yourself your better off." The lesson you could learn is to be yourself because when you start acting like those around you, you loose your true self. Also you will loose those who matter the most to you. If they hated the way you truly are they wouldn't be your friends in the first place. Like the quote, "Be yourself because those who care don't matter, and those who don't care matter." You shouldn't be afraid to help a less popular student study, or sit with someone that has no one to sit with at lunch or on the bus. In the end those people who do help the student or sit with the other end up being the ones looked up too. Anyway if we were all spossed to do the same and act the same we would have all been made the same too.
A lesson we can learn from stargirl is who cares what people think i agree with Izzy if there a geek so what there if they look werid its how they wanna be,you have your own style just be your self
I agree with you Nathen. You should not care what other people think. You were not put on this world to please them. But at the same time your should not really care even if it is something good you should be focusing on something bigger then what people think about you. Stargirl changed for someone and turned into someone she didt want to be. So one of the main things you should have learned from the book "Stargirl" is that you should always always be yourself a whole 100% and if people dont like you, want to change you, or just want to "adjust" you they are not your true frineds and you should not change for them or let alone anyone.
i learned that being the same as every one else is not fun at all if you stand out you may be reconized and (if good)rewarded for your good or bad deeds
i learned that being the same as every one else is not fun at all if you stand out you may be reconized and (if good)rewarded for your good or bad deeds
I agree with Lily B. when she says, "The lesson that students can learn from the book Stargirl is you don't have to act like someone else. I think that the lesson of the book Stargirl is you should always be yourself no matter what other people say about you and think of others before yourself.
one lesson you can learn from stargirl is you dont have to wake up and blend in with the crowd dont be afraid to be yourself and its not about you. you can always help others its not just about you all the time
A leson you can learn from this book is you don't have to be like everybody else for people too like you. At first everybody thought Stargirl was weird. Then people started too like her and accept her for who she was. THat is a lesson I can learn from the book Stargirl.
A lesson that we can all learn from the book stargirl is that just be yourself who cares what other people think, don't act like something your not don't let peoples thoughts change you its better to be yourself and yourself only
One lesson i think we can learn from this book is who cares what people think of you just be yourself. You shouldn't act like others so people will like you. So what if they ignore you just ignore them back. Act what you normally act like. Don't let others control your actions.
I think the lesson is that you dont have to fit in you can stand out and you dont always belong in a group. You dont have to ack like people. You dont have to be noticed or put on make-up or have a boy friend.and i learned a good lesson you dont have to fit in a group you can stand out. you dont have to be a bully to littler people than you
I have learned more than enough lessons from this intesting book i would have to go with the idea of most or some of my classmeates have said if yuo are yourself you can have fun and do any and everthing you want with whoever you want but the only bad part is that when you not acting like yourself a lot could not as end of what you want like say if you change yourself you will see the bad side that most people woundnt want to see if you change you're just proving that you hate yourself and that you feel sorry for yourself and in the have not even as close as much fun as you would if you hadjust kept with being yourself.
A lesson I learned from Stargirl is be yourself. Even though Stargirl was ignored for awhile, she made a big impact on Mica because she was herself. If you are yourself you can see who your true friends are. Stargirl found out that Leo and Dori were her true friends and she didn't need anyone else. Like Kassidy said, when Stargirl was Stargirl she had 18 pebbles in her happy wagon but when she became Susan there were only two.
A lesson that you can learn from reading stargirl is that you should be yourself. People should like you for who you are, not for the clothes that you wear, or the hair style that you have. You should'n change yourself because you think it will make you "cooler". Be yourself. -Adam
i think the lesson is to always be yourself no matter what others think because when you change for everyone your really just making yourself sad like in the book when she only had to pebbles in the happy wagon
I believe that the lesson we could learn from Stargirl is to be yourself even when its hard. Everyone thought Stargirl was weird when she was acting like herself but she didn't care she kept on being who she was. When she did change she was not happy. In the end she didn't become any more popular by being Susan it was Stargirl who won everybody's affection. So don't blend in if you don't want to, be yourself.
A lesson i can learn from the book Stargirl is to be yourself. I know a lot of people said this, but they said it because its very true.I said to be yourself beacause it is definitely shown in the book. It was shown to be yourself when she changed back to Stargirl from Susan. It showed to be yourself because she changed back to who she wanted to be, not who Leo had wanted her to be. I had agreed with Stargirl at that point. All in all, the lesson I and many others learned, was to be yourself.
I think you could learn a lot from the story of Stargirl. One of the lessons you could learn is that you should not judge a book by its cover, the could look strange but end up being very nice and genorus like Stargirl was. Another lesson cuold be that you could be nice to people but they wont always be nice back.
I agree with Nic and i also think that when you come acrost someone or something you shouldnt refuse because you might not get another chance. I relate the to Leo comming across Stargirl and he didnt make his move with the ball and she was gone.
I agree with Nic and i also think that when you come acrost someone or something you shouldnt refuse because you might not get another chance. I relate the to Leo comming across Stargirl and he didnt make his move with the ball and she was gone.
I agree with kassidy when she said about dont change for someone else no matter if its be your girlfriend dont change. one other lesson i learned form stargirl is that be who you want to be dont let anyone keep you down sing if you want to sing dance if you want to dance it does not matter what it is -ZACK P
i agree with christina when she said you should be an individual. even if they tease you you should be proud of who you really are. i used to have a friend who would dress up in all black and lots of people teased him for that but he still stayed himself no matter what what and i loved him for that. :)
I agree with you Tyler H you should be yourself to be some ones friend. I also think people should accept you for who you are and not how you dress or look
I totally agree with Kassidy, you should always be yourself.Like when Leo was looking for Stargirl he heard her voice but when he turned around it was not her it was susan. She changed cause she didnt want to be like nobody she wanted to fit in with the others.
I agree with nathan. When he said you should always be yourself. What I said was that your friend will dislike you for the dumbest things. And to always be Honest.
I do agree with you Nathan and Lily Blair. I think the lesson is to be your self and do not care what other people think about you and dont let people change who you are beacuase if they dont like you for being you than they are not your true freind. Also you should never care about what someone else thinks about you cause you are different and creative in your own way and you should be happy the way God made you.
I think a lesson we can all learn from this is be yourself. I agree with Lily B. and Eathan P. because somtimes you cant please every one and you shouldn't always act the same. Another that I would like to add to those is that you shouldn't let stuff stick to you. Stargirl played her ukelele no matter what people said. She also cheered for the other team and she didn't let anyone hurt her. If they did hurt her she didn't show it.Some of the mean things people said to her on "Hotseat" didn't hurt her, all she did was brush it off. So what I think we could learn from this book is that you should always be yourself and don't let mean and hurtful things stick to you!
I agree with what Morgan said about how if you try to please every one you are not pleasing yourself. I think it is important to be yourself and have a happier life instead of blending in an acting how everyone else wants you to act. I also think how can anyone be normal if everyone is different. I mean if everyone is different what is normal exactly. I think the author is trying to say that you can have a happier life if you are yourself and not doing what everyone else is doing or acting "normal".
I agree with Andy. Someone may look like a bad guy, but in the end they just want to help. They get rejected because of what they look like. I agree also with the second lesson Andy wrote. The reward for being nice is the happiness from others that you have helped.
A theme in the book "Stargirl" is to just be yourself, and don't try to be like somebody else. Stargirl didn't care what people thought of her. She didn't care that wherever she went, people stared at her. She was being herself, and she was happy. Don't try to change yourself to blend in. Stargirl stood out from all of the people at the school. I agree with Krista, "Even though Stargirl was ignored for awhile, she made a big impact on Mica because she was herself. If you are yourself you can see who your true friends are."
I think you could learn that in life there will be obsticles that you have to overcome and to do so most of the time you have to say to yourself "I don't care what other people think" and move on. Stargirl is the perfect example of this and it was a very good book!
I agree with Kalli M. You shouldnt change the way you are just because someone dosent like the way you dress or look. You should like the way you are. When your you and people still like you you know that they really care about you not if you are popular. i think another lesson to this story is thhat you shouldnt judge people on what they look like. You should judge them on thier personallity because you wouldnt and not to care what people think about you plus if they were your true friends they wouldnt care if you were a little off they would love you no matter what. Another lesson is that you shouldnt try to be like other people you should be yourself and like the way you are. Another one is that you should nt try to please every one becuase when you do you never get to make you self happy.
I agree with Breanna K. with the lesson we learned from Stargirl. She said, "that even when you feel like you don't belong with everyone else stay true to yourself." I believe that you should always be yourself in every way and don't give up on that. So always stay happy, positive, and dont give up on being yourself. Don't do what Stargirl did because she gave in, tried to be popular, and was very unhappy. You could tell she was sad because when Leo went over to Stargirl's house she only had three pebbles in her happy wagon. So remember, stay true to yourself.
I agree with Breanna Kelly to be yourself. It's almost impossible to please everyone. There will always be someone out there who doesn't agree with you. You should be yourself no matter what anyone else tells you. Stargirl didnt care that she was different, she didn't care what anyone else thought. Variety should be cherrished, as if it were a 100 dollar bill. so all in all, be who you want to be... be yourself.
I agree with Lily B, that "if you try to please others, you please no one." When Stargirl was changing herself to improve her popularity, her actions changed the idea other people had on her. Stargirl changes a lot of things about her for Leo.For one, she went from Stargirl to Susan just because she was trying to be "normal" for Leo.Leo also pursaudes Stargirl to stop topping her pizza with anchovies. She does everything to please everybody else.
I agree with Kate when she said,"Be yourself around everyone." If you act like yourself everyone will like you for your own unique personality. It doesn't matter what you look like on the outside, it matters whats inside."Don't judge a book by it's cover!" I think the lesson is,"Be yourself and people will like you for yourself and not who they think you are.
I disagree with Drew. He said that the lesson was to learn how to deal with obstacles. What was Stargirl's obstacles? The lesson is more about loving yourself, not overcoming obstacles.
I think thaqt star girl is being what she wants to be and dosen't care what people think.....But on the other hand leo is selfish and cares about what everyone thinks about him so he should not care about what everybody thinks if he truly LOVES stargirl... :)
I think the lesson to be leared in Stargirl is to be yourself no madder what people think or say. Because who care what other people think of you, I believe that as long as you act yourself then you'll be fine.
I think the lesson lernd is that u should not judge a book by its cover because everyonr teased her and every on thought she did not care but when leo was at her house and saw that she only had 3 stones in her wagon.
i think that stargirl was a talented individual but was so in love with leo that she did not focus on whats important and thats her big mistake and i think that the lesson isto be who you are.and dont letanyone change that and if you do fix it fast or you mght lose your reputation and that is very important and hard to prottect and be yourself is a big part of the protection program
I agree with Lily B. When i read the book i learned you just need to be yourself, and that you dont have to please others. You should not be popluar for not being yourself.
I agree with Austin. In stargirl you learn to be yourself and not what others want you to be. If you be yourself you will be happy with yourself. But if you act like others you don't really enjoy life as much. This book was great and it teaches you things. I hope i get the chance to read the second book of this. -Shorty
I learn that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and that you cannot always make all eyes like what they see. I learned that you should not try to change yourself for someone else because somethimes no matter what you do you cant make everyone like the way you look or dress, the things you say or do there will always be people that dont like it but that doesnt mean u should change. people will nnever stop not haveing thoose things they dont like cause everyone is intitled to their opinion and even if they dont say it out loud their thinking it. so love the way u r or change but not because of someone else because u want that will only b the way u can change and b happy thats my opinion

The lesson to be learned is to be ur self and dont act cool infront of ur friend/friends because thay like u if you start being mean.
A lesson that you can learn from reading stargirl is that you should be yourself. People should like you for who you are, not for the clothes that you wear, or the hair style that you have.
You should'n change yourself because you think it will make you
"cooler".

I agree with kassidy when she said about dont change for someone else no matter if its be your girlfriend dont change. one other lesson i learned form stargirl is that be who you want to be dont let anyone keep you down sing if you want to sing dance if you want to dance it does not matter what it is
-ZACK P
i agree with christina when she said you should be an individual. even if they tease you you should be proud of who you really are. i used to have a friend who would dress up in all black and lots of people teased him for that but he still stayed himself no matter what what and i loved him for that. :)
:)RIELY(:
I agree with you Tyler H you should be yourself to be some ones friend. I also think people should accept you for who you are and not how you dress or look
by Charley
I totally agree with Kassidy, you should always be yourself.Like when Leo was looking for Stargirl he heard her voice but when he turned around it was not her it was susan. She changed cause she didnt want to be like nobody she wanted to fit in with the others.
I agree with nathan. When he said you should always be yourself. What I said was that your friend will dislike you for the dumbest things. And to always be Honest.
-Jaime G
-Alyssa!
I agree with Lily B, that "if you try to please others, you please no one." When Stargirl was changing
herself to improve her popularity, her actions changed the idea other people had on her. Stargirl changes a lot of things about her for Leo.For one, she went from Stargirl to Susan just because she was trying to be "normal" for Leo.Leo also pursaudes Stargirl to stop topping her pizza with anchovies. She does everything to please everybody else.
*Maegan*
I agree with Kate when she said,"Be yourself around everyone." If you act like yourself everyone will like you for your own unique personality. It doesn't matter what you look like on the outside, it matters whats inside."Don't judge a book by it's cover!" I think the lesson is,"Be yourself and people will like you for yourself and not who they think you are.
I disagree with Drew. He said that the lesson was to learn how to deal with obstacles. What was Stargirl's obstacles? The lesson is more about loving yourself, not overcoming obstacles.
i think stargirl is a goob book becauce it teaches you not to care what others think just be your self
I think that you should be your self. And don't try to be like everyone else. And not be the same
as everyone just because your friend asks you.
-Dagan
I think thaqt star girl is being what she wants to be and dosen't
care what people think.....But on the other hand leo is selfish and cares about what everyone thinks
about him so he should not care about what everybody thinks if he truly LOVES stargirl...
-Shorty
if you're fine with the way you are, then it shouldn't matter what anybody else thinks.
-Jasmine
I learn that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and that you cannot always make all eyes like what they see. I learned that you should not try to change yourself
for someone else because somethimes no matter what you do you cant make everyone like the way you look or dress, the things you say or do there will always be people that dont like it but that doesnt mean u should change. people will nnever stop not haveing thoose things they dont like cause everyone is intitled to their opinion and even if they dont say it out loud their thinking it. so love the way u r or change but not because of someone else because u want that will only b the way u can change and b happy thats my opinion
